a.) have wide teeth
b.) be made of thick and durable material
c.) not have too much give, if any
d.) be made of porous material (withstand emmersion without risking immediate damage- supports proper cleaning)
e.) have a nice shiny finish (otherwise may deteriorate quickly, leading to tearing of the hair)
f.) have a sturdy, ergonomic handle (aides in secure use and healthy carpals)
